Deep Dive: Being Essential: The Ever-Evolving Role of the Instruction Librarian

K-12 and Academic Librarians are constantly evolving to meet the needs of the learning communities that they serve.  It can be difficult to describe what we actually do in the classroom or in the library.  This workshop will encourage participants to explore the different roles that instruction librarians fill and how to market themselves to their learning communities.  Participants will explore 5 or 6 different ways instruction librarians function and then devise and practice approaching our colleagues to collaborate to make instruction meaningful for students.
